  • It is related to the Incident, they both have a similar name.
    • However 'the Basra Incident' is a fan-given name, Juliet only mentions the word 'Basra' if i'm not mistaken.
    • The word "incident" can't describe a link anyway.
  • The Basra incident is related to the violent suppression of uprisings that (actually) occured in that city in 1991 and again in 1999.
    • Sayid tortured or executed opponents of the Iraqi regime during one of the above uprisings.
